Schools are pillars of our community. Senator Breslin knows we need fully-funded schools and has long advocated for the funding of high-needs school districts. In 2019, he voted to increase school aid by $1 Billion.

 

Senator Breslin will:

• Continue to support community schools and connecting healthcare and other community resources with schools

• Continue to support the expansion of Pre-K until every child has access

• Support legislation that better enables districts to work together to share resources and program offerings

• Support access to Higher Education and integral programs such as TAP, the Excelsior Scholarship, HEOP/EOP, STEP, C-STEP, and the Liberty Partnership Program

• Support initiatives that provide students of all abilities with flexibility in their learning and options in their career paths

• Support funding for ENL and adult literacy programs
